Dehradun, 23 Sep: The Pushkar Singh Dhami Government has announced its decision to give the benefit of 4 percent additional dearness allowance to the employees working in corporations, urban local bodies, authorities, etc. It may be recalled that the state government had also increased DA for the state government employees recently. The additional DA of 4 percent will be payable with effect from January 1, 2024.
On the lines of the DA being given to the state government employees, the employees of Corporations (mostly PSUs), Urban Local Bodies and Authorities (like MDDA) will also be paid 4 percent additional Dearness Allowance with effect from 1 January this year. It has been announced that for the employees of public bodies/ undertakings drawing salary in the fifth central pay scale, dearness allowance will be paid at the increased rate from 1 January, 2024. In addition, it was also announced that pensioners of the ULBs and Panchayats, Authorities and Autonomous Institutions and Public Sector Undertakings will also be paid additional DA of 4 percent from 1 January onwards.
However, it has not been made clear in what form the arrears due from 1 January will be paid.
