DEHRADUN, 10 Dec: Doon Buddhist Committee celebrated the 32nd anniversary of the conferment of the Nobel Peace Prize on the Dalai Lama by distributing stationery, refreshments, and reusable cotton masks to the underprivileged children of the government primary school at Kala Gaon. The children were introduced to the importance of the occasion and contribution of Dalai Lama for world peace. They were encouraged to study well and be good human beings. The members also spoke on the need to keep the environment clean, help parents at home and to be kind to animals. As the token of appreciation small gifts were presented to the teachers. Later in the evening, warm quilts were distributed at Sahastradhara and Kulhan to the poor and the needy. Vimlesh Thakur (Parshad), VS Chauhan (Zila Parishad Member), Shanta Negi, Tsering Luding, Bharat, & Tenzin Luding were present during the distribution.
