Dehradun, 8 Jun: After the sudden demise of 3 regular employees of the Uttarakhand Assembly Secretariat in the year 2021, the matter of giving appointments to their dependents on Compassionate Grounds was under consideration but pending since then. Acting on this, Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan today took a positive final decision in this respect and handed over appointment letters to two employees.
Late Mohammad Shakir Khan, who was working as Chief Guard in the Assembly Secretariat, died in April 2021. His wife Farhana Khan has been given an appointment to the post of Secretariat Assistant as a dependent of the deceased as per rules and on compassionate grounds.
In the second case, the Late Meenu Bala Babbar, who was in the post of Assistant in the Assembly Secretariat, passed away in May 2021. Her son Luv Kumar has been appointed as Postal Runner.
