Dehradun, 2 Oct: Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari paid tributes to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on the occasion of their birth anniversaries by offering flowers before their portraits at the Directorate of Information here today.
Addressing those present, Tiwari called upon all to tread the path of non-violence shown by Mahatma Gandhi. He said that everyone should work towards establishing peace, prosperity and harmony in society by following his principles in one’s life. Gandhi’s ideals of truth and non-violence inspire the people to move forward unitedly.
He also called upon everyone to follow a lifestyle based on the values and principles of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.
On this occasion, Additional Director Ashish Kumar Tripathi and Deputy Director Manoj Kumar Srivastava along with other senior officers and employees of the Directorate of Information were present.
