Dehradun, 30 Oct: Governor Dr. D. S. Bisen was paid a courtesy visit by Director General of Police (DGP) Deepam Seth at the Lok Bhawan here on Friday.
During the meeting, the DGP briefed the Governor in detail on the prevailing law and order situation in the state, police preparedness in view of the upcoming Kumbh Mela-2027 and Assembly elections, arrangements for the observance of National Unity Day, and preparations for the President’s Police Colour Parade scheduled to be held on 6 November.
The Governor emphasised the need to maintain robust law and order across the state and ensure sustained, effective action against cybercrime and the illegal drug trade. In view of the upcoming festive season, he directed the police to further strengthen security arrangements and ensure effective implementation of the verification drive for people coming from outside the state.
The Governor also extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all serving and retired officers and personnel of Uttarakhand Police on the force being honoured with the prestigious President’s Police Colour.
