Dehradun, 27 Jul: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami once again demonstrated his habit of engaging directly with people of all ages when he warmly interacted with a young schoolgirl at the Police Lines helipad in Dehradun today. As he prepared to depart, his attention was drawn to the child standing nearby. He walked over to her, spoke with affection and enquired about her studies.
The girl, a student of Class III, responded with confidence when asked her name and even identified the CM by his full name. Dhami repeated his name with a smile, asked whether she was on her way to school or returning home, and affectionately placed his hand on her head.
It may be recalled that this is not the first occasion when the CM has taken time to converse with children. He has often interacted with the students, sometimes even joining them in games, and has regularly spoken with citizens during his morning walks around the state and has enquired about their well-being and discussing development issues on various occasions and remains one of the more popular of the CMs from Uttarakhand.
