Dehradun, 14 May: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today launched the biennial magazine of the Secretariat Athletics and Fitness Club, titled ‘Ek Sankalp: Sabhi Ke Behtar Swasthya Ke Liye’ at the CM’s camp office. On the occasion, he lauded the club’s efforts in promoting health awareness, physical activity and a fit lifestyle among employees and society at large.
The CM said that a healthy body and a healthy mind together form the foundation of efficiency and a positive life. He emphasised that regular exercise, running, sports activities and a disciplined lifestyle empower individuals both physically and mentally. He described the initiatives of the Secretariat Athletics and Fitness Club to spread awareness about health as inspiring.
He added that such activities not only enhance awareness about fitness but also foster collective participation, discipline and positive energy. Extending his best wishes, he urged the office bearers and members of the club to continue working with the same dedication and enthusiasm in the future.
The biennial magazine documents the various activities and events organised throughout the year, including health runs, the Secretariat annual competition, inter-departmental contests, a 15-kilometre run with the national flag on Independence Day, a 26-kilometre run on Republic Day and the relay run from Dehradun to Haridwar under the Namami Gange campaign to raise awareness about Ganga cleanliness.
The event was attended by club president Lalit Chandra Joshi, general secretary Rajendra Prasad Joshi, editor Sharda Sharma, treasurer Dinesh Ghinga, chief advisor Jeevan Singh Bisht, advisor Rita Kaul, vice-president Reena Shahi and other office bearers and members of the club.
