Rudraprayag, 13 Jun: A meeting of the District Tourism Development Committee (DTDC) was held for the promotion of tourism in the district, under the chairmanship of District Magistrate, Mayur Dixit, at NIC room here.
Mayur Dixit instructed the District Tourism Officer to take necessary action for development of identified tourist places to promote tourism activities in the district. He prepared an agenda for self-help groups in Chirbatia, under development block Jakholi and to operate the park built on Jawadi bypass through Gram Panchayat Jawadi, with coordination of the Divisional Forest Officer.
For achievement of targets, instructions were given to organize necessary meetings with the villagers and the forest department. The DM also instructed the District Tourism Officer to take necessary action regarding the operation and maintenance of Jim Corbett Bhavan Gulabrai.
Mayur Dixit took necessary action regarding the allotment of Sitapur parking and shops built in the parking lot of Kedarnath road, and gave instructions for the operation of Taptakund built-in Gaurikund through GMVN, Sulabh International and local villagers to conduct necessary meetings with everyone.
During the meeting senior government officials including Chief Development Officer Naresh Kumar, District Tourism Officer Rahul Choubey, Deputy Superintendent of Police Prabodh Kumar Ghildiyal and other officers and employees were present.
