DEHRADUN, 23 Jun: Dehradun successfully hosted the inaugural ‘Golden Vin Awards’ on Saturday at a glittering ceremony. This pioneering initiative was conceptualised to acknowledge the tireless efforts and visionary leadership of 22 outstanding businesses and personalities who have significantly contributed to the vibrant fabric of Dehradun, marking a new benchmark in recognising local excellence.
Present was Madhu Bhatt, Vice President of the Uttarakhand Sanskrit Literature and Arts Council, and Aman Bansal, Vice President of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand University, who served as Guests of Honour. A highlight of the evening was a captivating panel discussion, expertly moderated by Vinod Srivastava, at which Bhatt and Bansal delved into the profound impact and burgeoning potential of Uttarakhand as a premier destination wedding location, offering insightful perspectives on its growth trajectory.
Among those lauded for their profound societal impact and dedication to making a tangible difference within their respective domains were actor and media personality Satish Sharma, journo Sanjay Srivastava, Himadri Patel, Dr Jyoti Srivastava, Rama Goyal, Priya Gulati, Dr Harleen Kaur, and Nalini Trikha Taneja. The awards further recognised excellence across various industries, felicitating a diverse range of talent and innovation. Sangeeta Kumar was honoured as an Emerging Abstract Artist, while Dr Ashish Semwal and Punarnava Resort were celebrated as an Outstanding Destination Wedding Venue in Dehradun. Rajendra Chamoli received acclaim for his Outstanding Water Management Service, and Samiksha Badola was recognised as the Emerging Makeup Artist of Dehradun. Dr Megha Bahuguna’s Outstanding Ayurvedic Chikitsalaya, Poonam Chaurasia’s Eva 18 as an Emerging Jewellery Store, Amul Singhal as Emerging Packaging material distributor and Amitabh Sharma as an Outstanding Vastu Expert further underscored the breadth of excellence. Kebabsville was notably felicitated as an Outstanding Grill & Barbeque Restaurant, Jyotsna as an Outstanding Event Planner, Chetan Suri’s 4 Color Prints for Outstanding Printing Solutions, and Himanshu Jain’s Team Clicks & Movies as Outstanding Event Photographers, marking their exemplary contributions to their fields.
