Doon Valley loses social worker Raj Prakash Shukla

Dehradun, 12 May: Lt Col BM Thapa (Retd) of the Sanyukt Nagrik Sangathan & DESL, has reported that noted social worker Raj Prakash Shukla left for his heavenly abode on 3 May 2026 at the age of 62.

Raj Prakash, commonly known to the public as Rajesh, was a dedicated social worker associated with various organisations. He always came forward to help needy people in resolving their problems. He personally assisted them in handling court cases and also extended financial support to underprivileged citizens of the Doon Valley.

He was deeply devoted to religious and social activities and was especially fond of organising prayer meetings at various temples, followed by Bhandaras for his family, friends, and the general public. He also constructed a temple on Kalidas Road, which will always remain a cherished memory for everyone.

Through his revered mother, Shanti Devi, he installed the deity of Maa Durga at Tapkeshwar Temple, reflecting his deep faith and devotion.

His noble deeds, generous spirit, and compassionate nature will always be remembered by all whose lives he touched, stated Lt Col Thapa, while praying that his soul attain eternal peace.
