DEHRADUN, 6 Dec: On the occasion of the ‘63rd Maha Parinirvana Divas’ of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat attended a ‘Shradhanjali Sabha’ held at the Vidhan Sabha on Thursday.
He said that Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar made remarkable and unforgettable contributions as the principal architect of the Constitution and in ending untouchability. There was no sin greater than untouchability. Provisions were also made in this regard in the constitution. He added that great men ought not to be confined to any particular category. The legends were for everyone.
Present on the occasion were Speaker Premchand Aggarwal, Cabinet Minister Madan Kaushik, MoS Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, MLAs Deshraj Karnwal, Khajan Dass, Munni Devi Shah and Vidhan Sabha officials and staff.
