Dr Arun Joshi of SGRR PG College receives CSIR recognition



DEHRADUN, 9 Aug: The Shri Guru Ram Rai University family has extended its congratulation to Dr Arun Joshi of Department of Botany of SGRR PG College for submitting the best research project on the topic, ‘Earth Sciences Research’. The project has been selected as the best from among those of one thousand scientists. Dr Arun Joshi reached the Darbar Sahib on Thursday and received blessings from Mahant Devendra Dass. Dr Arun Joshi has received education from primary to Class XII at the Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School, Vasant Vihar. The management of the Shri Guru Ram Rai Education Mission has congratulated this ex- student on this achievement. Dr Arun Joshi was awarded PhD by the Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeobotany (BSIT), Lucknow, in the year 2016. Dr Arun Joshi has done PhD in Botany. Work by as many as 1,000 scientists had reached the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) from all over the country. Dr Arun Joshi emerged as the topper. Now, Dr Joshi will be funded by CSIR and conduct research on old vegetations becoming coal. During his meeting with the Mahant, Dr Arun Joshi described his plans for the future. The Mahant promised all possible assistance from SGRR University for his research work.
