DEHRADUN, 1 Apr: On the recommendation of the Party High Command and of State Congress President Karan Mahara, Dr Chayanika Uniyal has been appointed as in-charge of the Media Department of Uttarakhand Congress. Soon after her appointment, Dr Chayanika Uniyal has appointed media coordinators at every level in view of the Lok Sabha elections.
Providing this information, Chief Spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Mahara Dasauni said that division wise, Lok Sabha and district wise media coordinators have been appointed in the state Congress’s media department to ensure wider publicity of the party’s ideology and its stand on various issues regarding the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
Dasauni said that this has been done to take the party’s customs and policies to the grassroots level and for better coordination in the media department. She added that Lakhpat Butola has been appointed as Garhwal division media in[1]charge, while Neeraj Tiwari has been appointed as Kumaon division media in[1]charge. Taru Tiwari has been appointed as Media in charge in Almora, Advocate Kamlesh Tiwari in Nainital, Mahesh Pratap Rana in Haridwar, Shanti Prasad Bhatt in Tehri and Adhait Bahuguna in Pauri.
Dasauni said that keeping decentralisation in mind, coordinators have been appointed at the district level also. Dinesh Pilkhawal has been nominated in Almora, Khimraj Joshi in Pithoragarh, Ashok Verma in Champawat, Harish Aithani in Bageshwar, Manoj Sharma in Nainital, Arvind Arya in Udham Singh Nagar, Shubham Joshi in Haridwar, Jaiveer Singh Rawat in Tehri, Pavitra Rana in Uttarkashi,Narendra Singh Bisht in Rudraprayag, Lal Singh Negi in Pauri, Manoj Rawat in Chamoli and Shishpal Singh Bisht in Dehradun.
Dasauni said that State Party President Karan Mahara and Media In-charge Dr Chayanika Uniyal, while congratulating all the above newly appointed officials, have asked that they will work with full devotion and dedication to strengthen the party in their areas. It may be recalled that Dr Chayanika Uniyal has mostly been politically active in Delhi and Rajasthan so far. She has also served in NSUI in various senior positions
