Dehradun, 23 March: At the prestigious 82nd Annual Conference of the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS) held from March 14 – 17, 2024, at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre in Kolkata, Dr Gaurav Luthra emerged as a beacon of excellence in the field. Recognized for his exceptional contributions to ophthalmology, Dr Luthra was conferred with the coveted AIOS PEARL award. This accolade, celebrating achievements in education, academics, research, and learning, underscores Dr Luthra‘s unwavering commitment to advancing the field.
Dr Luthra‘s distinguished accomplishments were additionally acknowledged through the bestowal of the honorary Fellow of All India Collegium of Ophthalmology (FAICO) in Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Dr Luthra, a senior consultant at Drishti Eye Institute, has revolutionized refractive surgery in the region with pioneering techniques like Wavefront LASIK and ICL surgery, boasting over 20 years of experience.
