DEHRADUN, 13 Sep: Ecole Globale International Girls’ School organised the 4th Inter School Swimming Competition in its campus. There were 28 events held under different categories – 50mtr Free Style, 50mtr Butterfly Stroke, 50mtr Breast Stroke, 4 X 50 Free Style Relay, 50mtr Back Stroke and 50mtr Free Style, et al. Ecole Globale International Girls’ School emerged as the winner of overall Trophy with 71 medals while All Saints College claimed the Fair Play Trophy with 32 medals. Wyenberg Allen won 38 medals, Vantage Hall won 1 medal, The Asian School won 13 medals and 1 medal was won by Shri Ram Centennial. Around 100 students from 7 schools of Dehradun – Wyenberg Allen, The Asian School, All Saints’ College, Vantage Hall, Doon International School, Shri Ram Centennial and Ecole Globale International Girls’ School – participated in the event. Certificates were awarded to the winners as well as the participants. On the occasion, Roopa Gosain, Officiating Principal, Ecole Globale International Girls’ School, said, “It was an exuberant and adrenaline pumping event, where age groups under-19, under-17 and under-14 participated. The participants swam with endurance and displayed exceptional talent.” Also present were Shiv Lal Dogra, HOD, Sports, Ecole Globale International Girls’ School, Monica, Swimming Coach, Ecole Globale International Girls’ School, Neeraj, Swimming Coach, Sonal, PGT –Social Studies, Bhavna, PGT- Biology, and the coaches from the participating schools.
