Roorkee, 28 Jun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met with the beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes of the Government of India and the State Government organized at Nehru Stadium Roorkee on Wednesday.
Addressing the program, the Chief Minister said that our government is dedicated to development of poor. We understands the needs of the poor very well, that’s why our government is working day and night to make the schemes accessible to the masses, he said adding that tt is because of this that all of you have gathered here today in such a large number.
He said that earlier in the country, where there used to be appeasement of the exploited and deprived, now the exploited and deprived are being empowered.
CM said that by weighing the development works done during the last nine years under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on all parameters, we can say that our country has made unprecedented progress in every field in these nine years.
In the year 2014, the people of the country had expressed their trust in the Modi, and today this trust of the people has made the country’s “prosperity” train on the “tracks of development” during the nine years period from 2014 to 2023, CM said.
He said that from health to education, from free food grains to free treatment, from development of farmers to housing for poor, from modernization of army to security of borders, every citizen is being provided by the central government under the leadership of PM Modi.
From vaccine delivery to arms and mobile production, unprecedented work has been done in every field. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the government has also started the work of providing employment to one million people by organizing various employment fairs.  Abolition of triple talaq, abolition of black laws like Section 370, construction of grand temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya, construction of grand corridor of Kashi Vishwanath, reconstruction of Badrinath and Kedarnath Dhams are some of the important works which will be remembered by generations to come.
He said that in the last nine years, there has been a significant reduction in terrorist, Naxalite and extremist activities in the country due to the strong will of the PM Modi.  Today India has become the fifth largest economy in the world.  Taking inspiration from the Prime Minister and under his guidance, a new era of development has started in Uttarakhand as well.  We will definitely make this faith shown by the Prime Minister on us come true.  We addressed issues which were sidelined by previous governments.
CM Dhami said that our government should provide three gas cylinders to Antyodaya families, implement the system of horizontal reservation for the women of the state, prepare a draft uniform civil code, to stop forced conversions.  Be it making laws, taking strict steps to stop encroachment, making the country’s most stringent anti-copying law, giving reservation to the agitators, or taking steps to give scholarship to the students of the state who are getting higher education recently.  Let the steps be taken.  We have tried to bring all these important works to the ground.
He said that today many works are being done in the direction of strengthening the infrastructure of the state and making the state selfreliant.  Connectivity is being improved at every level in the state, emphasis is being laid on the development of industries and policies are being formulated keeping in mind the needs of the future.  Our cities are fast becoming centers of economic activities and in view of this, we are constantly trying to prepare our cities for the future.
The Chief Minister said that in this amritkal of India, this ‘optionless resolution’ of ours cannot be proved without the dedicated efforts of all of you.  Calling upon everyone to unite, join together and move forward together, the Chief Minister also expected everyone to be cooperative in achieving the goals of the state‘s development.
