Governor lauds Raj Bhawan employees, meritorious students at special ceremony

Dehradun, 28 Jun: Governor Lt-General Gurmit Singh (Retd) on Wednesday honoured 26 officers and employees of Raj Bhavan for their excellent work in a program organized at Raj Bhavan Auditorium. He also commended 11 meritorious students who excelled in high school and intermediate examinations by giving them certificates and mementos.
Praising the officers and employees who were honored on this occasion, he said that, “This award is the result of your honesty and dutifulness towards your work. The zeal and dedication with which you have done your work should be continued. All the officers and employees who are being honored are an example for others.”
Lt-General Singh said that the Raj Bhavan represents the entire state, in which the working style of the officers and employees becomes very important. He said that it should always be our endeavour that every person who comes to Raj Bhavan leaves satisfied. While working carefully towards solving the problems of all the people, work for their timely disposal. “All of you have a very important role in conveying a good message from the Raj Bhavan to the people.”
While wishing a bright future for all the children who were honored, the Governor called upon everyone to work with the same dedication and hard work. He said that for any parent, it is a great feeling to see their children grow up and do well. Similarly, all children should try to live up to the aspirations of their parents. He said that children should always increase the respect of their parents by working harder. Always try to do well in every field.
Secretary to the Governor Ravinath Raman also congratulated all the officers, employees and students who were honored and wished them all the best for the future.
On this occasion, First Lady Gurmit Kaur, Legal Advisor Amit Kumar Sirohi, Additional Secretary Swati S Bhadoria, Finance Controller Dr Trupti Srivastava and officers and employees of Raj Bhavan were present.
