Hyderabad, 17 Oct: Kuhoo Garg, a 2024-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and daughter of Ashok Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of Sports University of Haryana and former Director General of Police (DGP) of Uttarakhand, has achieved a remarkable distinction at the Passing Out Parade held at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad. Kuhoo Garg was adjudged the ‘Best Outdoor Probationer’ and conferred the prestigious ‘Sword of Honour’. She also won the ‘Best Drill’ award.
The ‘Sword of Honour’ is awarded to the Best Outdoor Probationer based on an assessment of an officer’s overall performance across approximately 15 to 20 outdoor training activities during the course. These include firing, horse riding, commando training, swimming, drill, sports and various other physical and skill-based activities.
Demonstrating consistent excellence across these demanding activities, Garg earned the distinction of being named the Best Outdoor Probationer in her batch.
