New Delhi, 21 Aug: A virtual meeting of the All India Freedom Fighters’ and Martyrs’ Family Welfare Maha Parishad was held today, in which the outline of the national meeting to be held on 29–31 August 2025 at Udasin Bhawan, Connaught Place, Delhi, was decided.
It was decided at the meeting that during this period the delegation will meet the President, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, the Law Minister, and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
Also, a national press conference and open session will be organised at the Press Club of India, in which eminent persons from society, politics, judiciary and the corporate world will be invited.
Instructions have been given to submit the list of state level representatives, on the basis of which state meetings will be held in September-October 2025. Thereafter, a big meeting will be held in Delhi in November and a decisive national programme will be organised in March 2026.
Uttarakhand Coordinator Dr Asha Lal said that the National President of the Maha Parishad, senior freedom fighter Dr Prahlad Prajapati, National General Secretary Kumar Patel, National Coordinator Hariram Gupta, National Vice President Awadhesh Pant, National Women Coordinator Dr Indira Mishra, Uttarakhand State Coordinator Dr Asha Lal are in the organising committee of the programme. The objective of the organising committee is to make the role of the freedom fighter families more relevant in today’s context and to provide support to the two crore fighter families of the country from all parties so that they can implement the 9-point programme prepared by the Maha Parishad in the development of the country.
The 9-Point National Programme includes:
1. The India of the dreams of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and the freedom fighters.
2. Establishment of ethical values – in social, political, and economic contexts.
3. The spirit of patriotism – in the context of freedom, the role of freedom fighters’ families.
4. The role of freedom fighters’ families in building a united and great India.
5. Rising economic inequality in the country – creating decisive circumstances to address this serious problem.
6. How to strengthen the foundation of individual economic self-reliance – our role.
7. Strengthening the economic, social, and political independence of rural India – our responsibility.
8. Our role in a transparent social, economic, and political structure.
9. The role of India as the world’s largest democracy in the global context – from the perspective of freedom fighters’ successors.
