Roorkee, 15 Feb: Following the successful inauguration of the ‘Startup Uttarakhand Bootcamp’ on 14 February at Genesis Incubation, Quantum University, the event’s second day proved to be even more interesting. Building on the foundation of the first day, Day 2 was charged with energy and ambition as it was dedicated to Live Pitching. The event saw an impressive audience, with more than 12 startup teams converging on the stage to demonstrate their pitching skills.
Personalities such as Azam Ali Khan, CEO of Tides Business Incubator, IIT Roorkee; Arpit Jain, Co-Founder of Sunfox Technologies; Ankur Mehta, Associate Director of InfoEdge Centre for Entrepreneurship at Plaksha University, Apoorve Arya, Founder wowelz interacteka, and Varun Tiwari, CEO of Genesis graced the event as the jury and enriched the boot camp experience with their expertise and insights.
Uttarakhand’s budding startups and entrepreneurs like Anagh – a producer of concentrated liquid cleaning solutions; Vetcurecart – a veterinary E-commerce platform; Milelt Upshot- an innovative millet-based protein powder startup; Talented Kids; Nutrition Adda; etc., participated in the boot camp. They had the unique opportunity to present their startups’ Unique Selling Propositions (USPs) and business acumen, attempting to woo the jury with their visionary ideas and strategic insights. The day’s highlight was the intense live pitching session at which each competed to be the best.
While witnessing the live pitches by the budding startups, Ankur Mehta stated “Watching these ambitious startups pitch their visions today, I’m reminded of the boundless potential that thrives within Uttarakhand. We look at launching businesses and setting the stage for a future where the startups lead and redefine industries.”
Genesis, recognised as a Host Institution by Startup Uttarakhand and MSME, has once again demonstrated its commitment to promoting entrepreneurship in the region.
