Dehradun, 15 Feb: A special workshop started today at Graphic Era University to teach students how to make hot air balloons.
Dr Rajkumar Pant of Aerospace Engineering, IIT Bombay, discussed the design, types and materials of hot air balloons. He told the students that hot air balloons are generally applied for entertainment purposes. While giving them information about its shape, he said that it’s like a huge bag. When the hot air rises, it fills the balloon and lifts it upwards in the air. He also informed the students about the principle of its functioning.
This workshop was organised in the conference hall of the university by the Graphic Era Aerospace Engineering Department in collaboration with Orbit Quest Club.
HOD, Aerospace Engineering Department, Dr Sudhir Joshi, Faculty Coordinator Dr Ritwik, Dr Rajesh Verma and Punit Gupta were also present.
