Dehradun, 1 May: The Sikh Group organisation has, once again, highlighted Sikh influence throughout the world with today’s release of the 11th edition of the annual ‘Sikh 100’ list.

The list annually profiles 100 of the most powerful and influential contemporary individuals out of 27 million Sikhs worldwide. These traverse all sectors, including business, education, politics, media, entertainment, sports and charity. The list aims to share inspirational real-life success stories and to encourage individuals to aim high whilst drawing upon the strength of their faith and heritage.

Nominations are open all year round. It is completely free to be included in the list and all profiles are selected on merit alone. The selection process is outlined in detail on the organisation website’s methodology page.
The Sikh Group, which started in 2006, currently has eight projects that operate across the world. According to Founder and CEO, Dr Navdeep Singh, “Since we published the first list back in 2012, we receive a constant influx of nominations for individuals from every walk of life. The enormous achievements of the Sikh community never cease to amaze me when we read the stories of the applicants.

As in all the previous years, the 2022 list contains many elite international dignitaries, public figures, community heroes, sports stars, celebrities and businessmen from around the world. The full list can be viewed on TheSikh100.com.”


The 2023 Sikh 100 includes the likes of Bhagwant Mann, Chief Minister of Punjab from India placed at number 4; Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs from India placed at number 14; Kamal Kaur Khera, Minister of Seniors from Canada placed at number 16; Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd), Governor of Uttarakhand, at number 17; Indermit Singh Gill, Chief Economist, World Bank from the USA placed at number 21; Kuldip Singh Dhingra, Chairman, Berger Paints Group from India, placed at number 22; Kuljeet Singh, President, Boeing Middle East from the UAE, placed at number 36; Jugeshinder Singh, CFO, Adani from India, placed at number 40; Lilly Singh, Social Media Influencer from the USA placed at number 49; Diljit Dosanjh, Artist from India placed at number 50.
