Dehradun, 22 Mar: Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) today met experts associated with the maritime and strategic sectors at the Lok Bhavan, here. On this occasion, detailed discussions were held on the ongoing geopolitical developments in the Middle East and Asia.
The Governor highlighted India’s balanced, peaceful, and strategic approach in this context. He stated that India has always remained committed to promoting global peace, stability, and cooperation.
During the meeting, emphasis was also laid on the need for coordinated efforts to enhance strategic awareness, maritime security, and the protection of national interests. The Governor appreciated the experience and suggestions of all the experts present and said that such discussions are extremely useful for policymaking and awareness.
On this occasion, Rear Admiral Piyush Pawsey, Vice Admiral AG Thapliyal, former ADG, Coast Guard, Kripa Nautiyal, and CEO, C and Coast Media, Amit Kumar were present.
