Dehradun, 3 Oct: Governor Lt-General Gurmit Singh (Retd) interacted with retired soldiers and gallantry award winners of the district during his visit to Rudraprayag. He said that, if anyone has any kind of problem or complaint, it can be conveyed in writing to the District Sainik Welfare Officer or directly to the Raj Bhavan. For redressal of grievances of ex-servicemen, a Grievance Redressal Officer has been appointed at the Raj Bhavan. He assured that all efforts would be made to solve every problem that Raj Bhavan receives.

The Governor, during a meeting with the volunteers of the Red Cross Society, said that the organisation can set new records in the field of health in Rudraprayag district. He set a target of connecting 2500 volunteers with the Red Cross by this day exactly after one year.

Lt-General Singh also inspected the stalls of various departments and institutions at the Gulabrai Maidan. During the inspection, he told the local producers that they could increase their economic condition more than expected by adding value to their products. Women of Self Help Groups exhibited great enthusiasm. Administrative officers of the district and officials of various institutions were present on the occasion.
