Gov visits Mussoorie

Mussoorie, 23 Dec: Governor Baby Rani Maurya reached Mussoorie here, today, and saw the beautiful Kempty Fall from the Kempty Police Station.
After spending a while in Kempty area, she returned to the Mall Road, where she visited the Kashmir Art Emporium, the oldest shop in town. After spending more than a half hour, there, she returned to Dehradun.
Interacting with media persons Governor Maurya said she had come to Mussoorie to enjoy the weather and also to see the facilities being provided to tourists coming from all over the world. She said as Mussoorie was dependent on tourism, which would boost the economy also help in the development of the town. Speaking about the illegal encroachment in Mussoorie, she expressed her sympathy for the street vendors as they are poor people and have also the right to earn their livelihood. She advised a humane approach in dealing with them.
