DEHRADUN, 4 Feb: Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) reiterated his commitment to transforming the state into an education and knowledge hub during a meeting with Raunak Jain, Vice Chairman of the Tula’s Group (Tula’s International School & Tula’s Institute). The discussion focused on the need for value-driven education, innovation, and leadership development.
Lt Gen Singh emphasised the importance of integrating ethics, national values, and forward thinking leadership into the education system. “Education should not just equip students with skills but also instill a spirit of innovation and nation-building,” he stated. During the interaction, the Governor symbolically reinterpreted Jain’s name—JAI representing victory and leadership, AI symbolizing intelligence and innovation, and IN denoting inner strength and self-reflection. He also presented Raunak Jain with signed copies of Aatma Ke Swar, a collection of books on leadership and cultural values.
Speaking on the meeting’s significance, Raunak Jain expressed gratitude, stating, “The Governor’s insights on education and leadership reaffirm the need for institutions to focus on holistic development.” This meeting comes as Uttarakhand strengthens its efforts to become a leading center for higher education. With initiatives promoting ethical leadership and innovation, stakeholders from academia and governance are collaborating to shape the future of education in the state.
