Graphic Era celebrates Engineers’ Day

Dehradun, 15 Sep: On the occasion of the 55th National Engineers’ Day, today, Graphic Era organised an event to celebrate the unwavering contribution of engineers to the technological advancements in the country. A quiz competition was also organised at the event.

The programme was organised at Graphic Era Deemed University. Chief Guest and ex-Engineer in Chief, PWD, Ayaz Ahmad, in reference to Uttarakhand, said that the challenges in road safety are increasing at an alarming rate due to reasons like faulty road design, speeding, lack of timely maintainance, etc. He appealed to the students to take remedial measures for the same. He motivated them to follow traffic rules, understand the motor vehicle act and take training from the driving schools.

Ex-Chief General Manager (Drilling), ONGC, Kuldeep Rohilla joined the session in online mode. He discussed the subject of Contract Management in detail.

Students of BTech participated in a quiz competition. Vivek Negi won the first prize, Sumit Kumar, second, and Diya Negi, the third, respectively.

The programme was organised by the Civil Engineering Department of Graphic Era. Regional Head, Technical Customer Solutions, Ultratech Pvt Ltd, Shiraz Zaidi, Dean of Academics, Dr DR Gangodkar, Dean, Life Sciences, Dr P Krishna, HOD, Dr Sanjeev Kumar, Dr Deepshikha Shukla, other faculty members and students were present at the event.
