Dehradun, 16 Dec: Graphic Era Deemed University’s MBA student Manoj Sarkar has won a Gold Medal in the Bahrain Para Badminton International Tournament.
Manoj Sarkar has earlier represented India at the Paris Paralympics. In the Bahrain Para-Badminton International Tournament Level 1, Manoj won the gold medal in singles’ category. In the same tournament, he secured a silver medal in doubles category along with his partner Deep Ranjan Bisoyi.
The news of Manoj’s victory in Bahrain exhilarated the university’s students, teachers as well as staff members. The victory was celebrated by distributing sweets in the campus.
Chairman of Graphic Era Group of Institutions, Dr Kamal Ghanshala congratulated Manoj Sarkar on his remarkable achievement, calling it an inspiring performance despite his disability.
