Dehradun, 16 Dec: The Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) will be soon convened to consider the promotion of 35 Inspectors in the Uttarakhand Police Department to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). Inspectors who have long awaited this promotion are expected to benefit. The Police Headquarters has already sought deployment options from the promoted inspectors. The inspectors in question have been asked to submit 3 options for posting post the promotion including at least one option for posting in the hills.
Deputy Superintendent, Police Personnel, Prashant Kumar has issued a letter from the Police Headquarters, requesting three transfer options from 35 inspectors after their promotion. This has sparked hope among the inspectors. The DPC meeting is scheduled to be held at the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission on 19 December.
It may be recalled that the promotion of inspectors to DSP rank has been pending for a long time. According to the related order, 19 civil police inspectors are included in the list, along with 10 inspectors from the PAC. In addition, 6 inspectors being considered for promotion as DSP are currently serving in the Intelligence Units. The Home Department has sent the promotion requisition to the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission.
The list includes Inspectors Tushar Bora, Trivendra Singh Rana, MK Lakhera, Shishupal Singh Negi, Mahesh Joshi, Pratima Bhatt, NC Semwal, Sanjay Semwal, Sanjay Kumar Pandey, Jeeto Kamboj, Madan Bisht, Rajendra Singh Bist, Daulat Ram Verma, GB Joshi, Narayan Singh, Ajay Lal Shah, Jagdish Deupa, Kunwar Singh Rawat, Chandra Mohan, Ravikant Semwal, Jagdish Pant, Janak Singh Panwar, Vikas Pundir, Sushil Rawat, Bipendra Singh, Manish Jaiswal, Rakesh Bist, Akhilesh Kumar, Manish Sharma, Sanjeev Tiwari, Gopal Dutt Joshi, Manoj Aswal, Devendra Singh Negi, Balwant Singh Rawat and Pankaj Kothiyal.
