Pauri (Garhwal), 27 Mar: The Congress candidate from Garhwal Lok Sabha seat, Ganesh Godiyal, was among those who filed nomination for the Parliamentary election on the last day of nominations for Uttarakhand. He reached the Pauri Collectorate office and filed his nomination papers in the presence of former Cabinet Minister Surendra Singh Negi and former Kedarnath MLA Manoj Rawat after holding a road show in the town.
After the nomination, Ganesh Godiyal said that he has entered the election to fight for the people of the hills. Without naming BJP candidate Anil Baluni, he targeted him as an outsider and said that one may be in a good position in New Delhi but the seat requires a good leader at the local level in order to resolve the problems of the people. Godiyal claimed that he has the power of the public, while the other person (Baluni) has entered the election through money power. He expressed confidence that the people’s power will outweigh money power. He expressed confidence that he would win the Garhwal parliamentary seat with a very good margin.
Godiyal also claimed that the BJP’s slogan of crossing 400 seats is just a misleading “jumla” intended to fool the people. This slogan will fall flat when the results of the Parliamentary elections are announced. Godiyal claimed that the I.N.D.I.A led coalition government will be formed at the Centre after the elections.
