DEHRADUN, 23 Oct: Hilton’s School organised its Annual Junior School Sports Meet (Class Nursery to V), here, today. The meet was declared open by the Chief Guest, Sushma Sharma, and Principal David J Hilton. The series of events started with a colourful march past by the students of Class I to V portraying the meaningful theme for the day, “Our Natural World”. The main events of the day included colourful races such as – ‘Off to a Picnic’ by class Nursery, Bunny and Carrot Race (KG), Fruits and Veg Hat Race (Class I – Girls), Growing a plant Race (Class I – Boys), the Clever Crow Race (Class II), and Noah’s Ark (Class III). The 50m mixed Relay Race (Class IV) and 50m Skipping Rope Race (Class V – Girls), 50m Flat Race (Class V – Boys). A Tulip PT Display by Classes II and III and a Save Trees PT Display by Class IV and V thrilled the spectators. A special race for the lady support staff was also held. Finally, the little ones from Nursery to V got ready for the closing walk past. This was followed by the prize distribution at which the children’s talent and efforts were rewarded. The Chief Guest praised the children for their commitment to protect and conserve the environment and bio-diversity of the Earth. Principal Hilton praised the students and teachers for putting up an attractive and splendid show.
