ICAR-IISWC organises Swachhta Pakhwada 2025

Dehradun, 18 Dec: As part of Swachhta Pakhwada 2025 (16-31 December, the ICAR–Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation (IISWC), Dehradun, held various cleanliness, record management, and awareness activities today through its Administration, Purchase & Stores, and Hindi Sections. The programme commenced with the collective singing of Vande Mataram.

The Administration Section reviewed 148 old records and initiated their disposal as per rules, strengthened digitisation through effective use of the e-Office system, and ensured cleanliness of offices and common areas.

The Purchase & Stores Section disposed of 277 unusable old files following due procedures. The paper waste was disposed for recycling.

The Hindi Section of the Institute promoted cleanliness awareness through official communication in Hindi and encouraged increased use of the official language in office work. Additionally, 47 obsolete files were forwarded for disposal.

A total of 40 officers and staff participated in the programme. The activities enhanced awareness on workplace cleanliness, systematic record management, efficient use of digital platforms, optimal space utilisation, and revenue generation through scientific disposal of waste.
