Rishikesh, 29 Aug: Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD), established in April, 1970, is a national level professional body promoting training, skill development and management training to industrial and government employees, managers and senior officers. ISTD has 52 Chapters spread throughout the country with the national office in New Delhi with a membership of professional and government, public and private sector organisations, institutions and other bodies. Individual membership of ISTD is over 11,000.
The ISTD – Dehradun Chapter organised a four-day Management Development Programme on “Train the Trainer” from 23 to 26 August at THDC (India) Limited, HRD Centre, Rishikesh.
Atul Jain, Executive Director (Technical), was the Chief Guest at the Inaugural Session. Patron, ISTD Dehradun Chapter, Dr Avinash Chandra Joshi, Chairman Anup Kumar, Honorary Secretary Rajendra Singh and Honorary Tresurer Dinesh Sharma were present at the inauguration.
Officers were nominated from across the country for the programme belonging to various CPUs, SPSUs and private organisations. The 23 participants from organisations like ONGC, NHPC, NTPC, THDC, UJVNL, UPCL, PTCUL and Hero Motocorp attended the “Train The Trainer” programme and benefited from experienced faculty and renowned trainers like Dr Santosh Rangnekar from IIT, Anubha Walia from PRISM, Dr Avinash Chandra Joshi and Rajendra Singh.
Participants participated in business games, role play and learned to give presentations on various topics.
The valedictory session was organised on 26 August and the Chief Guest was Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra, Executive Director-HR, and the Guest of Honour was National President of Indian Society for Training and Development, Anita Chauhan. The programme ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr AC Joshi, Rajendra Singh, Apoorva Trivedi and Dinesh Sharma.
