New Delhi, 10 Sep: India Vision Institute (IVI) was honoured with the CSR Universe ‘SICA Vision for Every Child Award’ at the CSR Universe Social Impact Conference in Delhi on 9 September.
The award recognises IVI’s countrywide efforts in ensuring children’s access to vision care since its inception in 2012 and its transformative impact on hundreds of thousands of young lives.
IVI has led large-scale screenings and provided corrective spectacles for underprivileged children.
IVI’s CEO Vinod Daniel said, “Our mission has been to ensure that no child is left behind because of poor vision. Around 7% of children screened need their vision corrected, and with spectacles, they stay on in school and can hope for a brighter future.”
“This award strengthens our resolve to expand our reach and continue transforming lives by bringing the gift of clear vision to every child in need,” added Daniel.
