J&K students visit Doon, courtesy Indian Army

Dehradun, 7 Jun: The Army conducts a large number of educational awareness and capacity building tours for various strata of society with students forming a predominant part of the initiative.
Towards this, a tour comprising 20 boy students along with two teachers from Ramban, Reasi and Rajouri (Jammu & Kashmir) was flagged off on 3 June and arrived at Doon on 4 June.
During their halt at Dehradun from 4 to 7 June, the children also witnessed the Commandant’s Passing Out Parade at Indian Military Academy. Students also visited an Infantry Battalion and played various games with the troops.
Prior to their departure, the students also visited Robber’s Cave and Forest Research Institute in Dehradun, and the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, St George Everest’s House, Kempty Fall and Company Garden in Mussoorie.
The students expressed their happiness at the opportunity provided by the Indian Army to witness and visit various institutions and places of historical significance.
