Dehradun, 30 Dec: Statehood Movement leader Ravindra Jugran has expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and the State Government following the issuance of the official government order today and its circulation to the departments concerned —Home and Urban Development — regarding the announcements made on 9 November 2025, during the Silver Jubilee Year celebration, in honour of the martyrs of the statehood movement, bedridden activists, jailed and injured activists, and active movement participants.
Under these announcements, the honour pension for dependants of martyred movement activists has been increased from ₹3,000 to ₹5,500. The pension for jailed and injured movement activists has been increased from ₹6,000 to ₹7,000, while the assistance for two bedridden movement activists has been enhanced from ₹20,000 to ₹30,000. Additionally, eligible concessions have been approved for their stay in State Guest Houses and government rest houses.
Furthermore, in line with the announcements, orders have been issued to the concerned departments for the beautification and maintenance of martyr memorial sites, and for naming government buildings and roads in all districts after the martyrs of the Uttarakhand Statehood Movement.
