DEHRADUN, 4 Oct: With the weather alternating between rain and sun, cricket teams from Chandigarh and Assam played for the Vijay Hazare Trophy (2019-20) at the Kasiga School pitch. Captain Manan Vohra of Chandigarh won the toss and elected to bat. The team made a strong score of 166 runs in 20 overs. The captain of Assam, Sibsankar Roy led his team, giving it a good start but Chandigarh bowled really well, making their win a true team effort. Chandigarh won against Assam by 21 runs. Kasiga Cricket Ground witnessed the first match of the season that made for a fantastic event for cricket lovers and players alike, who displayed great team spirit.
