Dehradun, 14 Nov: Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari applauded a children’s musical performance and acknowledged the role of children’s theatre in shaping their personality at a function held in the Raj Bhavan, here, on Sunday.
The Governor also presented the Gandhar Gaurav Puraskar for 2021 to theatre and film personality Atul Parchure, and gave the Lifetime Award to actress Usha Nadkarni for her contribution to theatre.
The children’s programme and the award presentation function was organised by Gandhar Arts, an organisation promoting children’s theatre, at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai.
MLA Ashish Shelar, MLA Sanjay Kelkar, music composer Ashok Patki and Chairman of Gandhar Art Mandar Tillu were present.
The Governor also presented the Gandhar Yuva Gaurav Puraskars to director Jayant Pawar, Anushree Fadnis, musician Omkar Ghaisas and theater personality Prakash Parkhi.
