Kumbh Conclave is impactful platform to showcase values of Sanatan culture: Dhami

Dehradun, 27 Nov: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today virtually addressed the closing ceremony of the ‘Third Kumbh Conclave,’ organised in Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh).

Chief Minister Dhami described the Kumbh Conclave as an impactful platform to showcase the values of Indian Sanatan culture, civilisation, and spirituality on a global stage. He expressed his gratitude to the “India Think Council” for organising the event. Highlighting the significance of Prayagraj, he referred to the land of Triveni as the confluence of sacred rivers, Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati and a testament to India’s cultural, spiritual, and religious heritage. The Chief Minister emphasised that the Kumbh religious bath not only purifies the body, mind, and spirit but also liberates individuals from sins.

He further elaborated that Sanatan Dharma is more than a form of worship. It is a holistic way of life aimed at the welfare of all living beings. Dhami underscored the principle of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, the world as one family, and called the Kumbh Mela a symbol of this philosophy. He observed that millions from across India and abroad participate in the Kumbh, transcending boundaries and discrimination, to attain spiritual peace and preserve India’s cultural legacy for future generations.

The CM also stressed on the global appeal of the Kumbh Mela, which attracts people from all over the world eager to learn about Indian culture, yoga, Ayurveda, and spirituality. He commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for blending development with heritage, citing initiatives like the reconstruction of Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham, the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, the development of Mahakal Lok and achieving UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage status for Kumbh.

Dhami reminded the audience about the transformative development of pilgrimage sites under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and praised Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his efforts in promoting Sanatan culture. He expressed confidence that the upcoming Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, under Yogi’s leadership, would be grand and historic. Dhami stressed that events like Kumbh reconnect individuals to their roots and foster positive societal changes.

Prominent figures such as Swami Chidananda, Ashok Mehta, Saurabh Pandey, RS Verma, Champat Rai, and others graced the occasion.
