Dehradun, 9 May: The Annual Function of KV No. 2 was inaugurated on Wednesday by the Chief Guest, Pankaj Mishra, Nominee Chairman of the Vidyalaya, and Vinod Kumar DC(I/c), KVS, RO, Dehradun, by lighting the ceremonial lamp. All the guests were welcomed by venue Principal Bakhte Muneem. He also presented the annual report of the Vidyalaya.
The cultural fest began with ‘Saraswati Vandana’, a welcome song, Medley Dance, Group Song. Children of various levels performed Yoga Asanas. The main attraction of the day was a Dance Drama based on the theme, ‘Save the Girl Child’. Students with best performances in various fields and teachers who gave 100% result with PI above 65 were felicitated by Pankaj Mishra. Deputy Commissioner, KVS Dehradun Region, Vinod Kumar also appreciated the 100% result of the students and the efforts of the teachers.
Present as special guests were Principals of other Kendriya Vidyalayas and retired officers of KVS. The programme was anchored by Praya Roseline, Pushplata Goyal, students Riya Rawat, Anirudh Joshi and Vishal Sharma.
