Law College Dehradun organises Boot Camp

 Dehradun, 28 Aug: A boot camp was organised today in Law College Dehradun of Uttaranchal University. The objective of the camp was to impart knowledge of the nuances of the legal profession to the students who are entering professional life after studying law.

Partners of the country’s renowned law firms were invited as legal experts. As industry experts, Harshavardhan Abburi, partner of the country’s tier one law firm J Sagar Associates, Suddat Ahmad Kirmani, partner of CMS IndusLaw, and Dr Abhimanyu Singh, founder and partner of Manulegal & Associates, taught the tricks of legal profession to the students in various sessions.

Pro Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Rajesh Bahuguna said that the university has set a target of making 200 students of law industry-ready this year. These students will be prepared as per the requirements of the legal profession and placed, while other students have opted for judicial service and armed forces. Special training is being arranged for them as well.

In the first session, Harshavardhan Abburi started his speech with the preparations to be done for admission to a good law firm. He said that planned internship opens the doors of a good law firm for a student. He explained the nuances of Intellectual Property Rights and Banking Law as per his expertise. In the end, a question-answer session was organised in which the students cleared their queries regarding admission in a law firm.

On this occasion, University Advisor Saurabh Badoni, Director Alok Saxena, Prof Radheshyam Jha, Purnima Tyagi, Pratiksha Rawat, Mansi Dabral, Unnati Bahuguna, Prof Lakshmi Priya Vinjamuri, Prof V Bhuvaneshwari, Dr Bhavana Arora, Hadiya Khan, Priyadarshini Tiwari, Ashok Dobhal and a large number of students were present.
