‘Life In Nature’ by Ruskin Bond released at Mango Festival



Dehradun, 8 Jul: Vandana Shiva, renowned ecologist, launched Ruskin Bond’s new book, ‘A life in Nature’, on the occasion of the Amrapali Mango Festival at Navdanya Farms.

Ruskin Bond, India’s most loved author who has lived for over sixty years in the serenity of nature unspoiled, has put together in his new book a selection of his most insightful, informed, wise and witty writings about nature.

Vandana Shiva, while speaking after the release, said she had been reading Ruskin Bond since her childhood and his writings have kept her reading habit alive. Such books keep book reading culture alive among all ages. She added that the new book will reconnect people to their habitat and Bond’s delightful words would educate and enlighten.

Vandana Shiva said that the Mango Festival is an annual event at Navdanya, where they have live culinary demos which help one to see the transformation of the mango harvest into a delicious organic cuisine. She thanked Bond for choosing to launch the book at the Festival.

Upendra Arora of Natraj Publishers informed the audience that copies of the book signed by the author would be available at Natraj Bookshop.
