Dehradun, 16 Jun: As a celebration of Father’s Day, a live art and chat session, titled ‘Like Father, Like Son’, was held at a local mall, today. The art show witnessed a live art demonstration by famous city-based artists Aloke and Manas Lal.
The father-son duo painted a large canvas with acrylic paints, together, to depict and celebrate the bond between them. The visitors to the mall appreciated the beautiful art on display.
Earlier during the day, a painting exhibition was also put up for display.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the former Director General of Police, Aloke Lal, said, “The relationship between a father and son is the closest and the tightest of all. Fathers want to ensure that they provide their sons with the best of education, give them space, and yet be their friend at the same time. This whole father-son relationship is built on trust, honesty, stubbornness and a lot of respect.”
Later during the day, an interactive chat session with the famous duo was also held.
Emphasising on the need to hold such programmes, the Centre Head of the Mall said, “Such programmes are held to respect the pure relationships that we share as human beings. The live art session today by the father-son duo was much appreciated by the spectators. Their live painting depicted their bond and love for each other.”
It may also be noted that the proceeds raised from the live painting event will be donated to charitable causes.
Appreciating the painting by the famous father-son duo, one of the spectators, Aman, said, “The live painting session today was a treat for the eyes. Both of the talented artists painted the canvas together depicting their mutual love and understanding.”
