Dehradun, 8 Aug: Environmental activist Dr Vandana Shiva said today that man has no right to claim ownership over nature.
She said this in the Har Govind Khurana Lecture Series on ‘Nature of Nature’ organised at Graphic Era Hill University, here. She told the students that nature and humans are not different, they are one and the same. If people cause harm to nature, they will have to pay for it in the future. She asked the students to adopt organic farming. Dr Shiva called upon the students to take care of and conserve nature.
The programme was organised by Graphic Era Deemed University’s Department of Biotechnology and Department of Microbiology. On this occasion, HOD of Biotechnology Dr Manu Pant, Dr Pallavi Singh, Prof Ashish Thapliyal, Dr Divya Venugopal, Dr Nardev Singh and students were also present. The programme was conducted by Soumya Sinha.
