Max Hospital holds anti-Dengue Awareness & Fumigation Drive

DEHRADUN, 24 Sep: Max hospital, Dehradun, today launched an anti- Dengue Awareness and fumigation drive today at the Camp Office of the District Magistrate. DM C Ravishankar, along with Ravi Arya, AGM- Max Super Specialty Hospital, together flagged off the drive. They briefed the general public on the importance of cleanliness and their integral role in maintaining cleanliness. The volunteers and team from Max Hospital visited from door to door to sensitise citizens about the purpose of the campaign. The teams called upon the residents to keep an eye on junkyards, schools and under construction buildings which lead to spread of dengue larvae and to leave no place wet or with stagnant water. During the drive, fumigation was done in particular areas including Rajpur, Sahastradhara, Tapovan, Premnagar and GMS Road. The fumigation drive will continue in these areas till 8 October. Along with it, information leaflets containing material to sensitise the citizens about their role in controlling dengue were also distributed among the public, which contains information about the lifecycle, prevalence, treatment and prevention of dengue. Ravi Arya also urged the people to keep their surroundings neat and clean. He said, “This will help us to live healthy and better lives. Keeping our surroundings clean will not only help curb this disease but also help in the betterment of society.”
