Dehradun, 5 Nov: A one-day media workshop, titled “Vartalap”, will be held in Bageshwar district on 7 November by PIB Dehradun, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. The 13th media workshop “Vartalap” will take place at the New Meeting Hall, Vikas Bhavan Auditorium, Bageshwar.
The primary objective of this program is to facilitate meaningful dialogue among Bageshwar’s district-level officials, departmental representatives, social workers, and journalists by discussing the grassroots implementation of various central government schemes. Assistant Director, PIB Dehradun, Sanjeev Sundriyal, stated that through this program, major government schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Tobacco-Free Youth Program, Sardar@150 Unity March, Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana (Self Help Group Support), PM Awas Yojana (Rural), Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, PM Crop Insurance Scheme, Garib Kalyan Rozgar Yojana, Digital India, Mudra Yojana, Kaushal Bharat Mission, PM Ayushman Bharat Scheme, Atal Pension Yojana, PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission (Har Ghar Jal), and Mera Gaon Meri Sadak will be discussed, focusing on their progress and outreach to actual beneficiaries. He further mentioned that this will be the 13th “Vartalap” program organized by PIB Dehradun. The previous 12 workshops have served as a bridge between central government welfare schemes and the media.
The one-day media workshop in Bageshwar will be attended by senior officials, journalists, and social workers. Sundriyal added that such programs create a platform for dialogue between the government and media, fostering better communication through discussions and deliberations. The program will establish a new direction for transparent dialogue between governance and the public in Bageshwar, Kumaon, thereby accelerating the effective implementation of government schemes.
Additionally, PIB Dehradun Assistant Director Sanjeev Sundriyal stated that, alongside “Vartalap,” the Central Communication Bureau, Nainital, will organise a two-day photo exhibition and awareness campaign at the Vikas Bhavan campus. The exhibition will remain open to the general public from morning till evening. Various competitions and cultural programs will also be held on both days. Stalls showcasing departmental achievements will be set up. A part of these events will be dedicated to national unity in honor of the 150th birth anniversary of India’s first Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The program by the Central Communication Bureau Nainital will be attended by various public representatives, officials, and dignitaries.
