Media’s job is not to impose its views

Dehradun, April 27: Director of Collective News Room, Mukesh Sharma said that the job of media is to create the voice of the public and not to impose its views on the people.
Today Sharma was addressing the students at Graphic Era Hill University on media impartiality and nuances. He said that the quality of a good journalist is that he is never afraid of asking questions. The job of a good journalist is to show the mirror to the society. He said that when views and news get mixed, facts get manipulated and this is called fake news.
The program was organized by Department of Media and Mass Communication
The program was conducted by Dr Ankita Uniyal. Students and teachers of Journalism and English departments were also present at this guest lecture.
