Minister Ganesh Joshi felicitates Nepalese actress Nitu Koirala, singer Ritu Kandel



DEHRADUN, 13 Sep: Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi today felicitated Nepal’s famous actress Nitu Koirala and international singer Ritu Kandel on behalf of the government by presenting a flower bouquet and Aipan artwork at his camp office in Hathibarkala, here.

They had recently come to the Mahindra Ground here to participate in the Teej Mahotsav.

Singer Ritu Kandel enthralled everyone present at the event with the song Aina Herera. During this, even Minister Joshi was also seen dancing. The guests from Nepal expressed their gratitude to everyone for the immense love received from Uttarakhand. They also thanked Minister Ganesh Joshi for the honour bestowed on them.

Cabinet Minister Joshi said that, according to Indian culture, the ‘Guest is God’. He asserted that India and Nepal have a strong and deep relationship. The traditions and culture are also similar and ancient.

Joshi added that artists work to promote their culture. Therefore, artists should be encouraged from time to time. He acknowledged he has been receiving a lot of affection from the Nepali community. In the Mussoorie assembly constituency, alone, there are more than 28 thousand voters of the Nepali community, who play an important role in his victory every term.

He announced that, soon, a cultural programme of India and Nepal will be organised in Dehradun.

On this occasion, many people including Nepalese actress Nitu Koirala, Nepalese singer Ritu Kandel, Padam Thapa, Mahila Morcha Mandal President Jyoti Kotia, Prabha Shah, Councilor Nandani Sharma and Councilor Bhupendra Kathait were also present.
