Dehradun, 27 Feb: Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi presented a compensation cheque of Rs 6 lakh, today, at his camp office to the family of the victim of a leopard attack that took place in Maradi Tok Gurjar Basti in Malsi Range.
Joshi said that a total compensation amount of Rs 6 lakh has been given to the victim’s family by the Central and State Governments. He said that, in this hour of crisis, the state government stands with the victim’s family.
It may be recalled that a 10-year-old boy, who had gone some distance from his house, was attacked by a leopard in Maradi Tok on Sunday evening, resulting in his death.
The child’s father Mirhamja, Joseph, Ghulam Rasool, Ibrahim, village head Leela Sharma, Gram Panchayat member Rajiv, DFO, Dehradun, Nitish Mani Tripathi, Range Officer Satvendra Pal Singh, etc., were present at the minister’s office on the occasion.
