Dehradun, 26 Aug: Minister of Soldier Welfare Ganesh Joshi chaired a departmental review meeting with officials of the Soldier Welfare Department at his camp office on New Cantt Road, on Tuesday. The meeting primarily focused on reviewing the progress of the Military Dham construction.
Joshi directed officials to expedite the completion of the final phase of the Military Dham project. He said that this is one of the state government’s flagship projects and must be completed on top priority without any delays.
During the meeting, the issue of pending salaries of UPNL employees at Sushila Tiwari Government Medical College, Haldwani, was also discussed. The Minister spoke over phone with the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and the Secretary of Health, instructing them to ensure prompt resolution of the matter so that employees receive timely salaries and health services continue without interruption.
Minister Joshi also reviewed preparations for the upcoming “Shaheed Samman Yatra”, scheduled in September to honor the families of martyrs, and directed officials to ensure all necessary arrangements are completed on time.
The meeting was attended by Additional Secretary, Soldier Welfare Department, Shyam Singh; Director Brigadier (Retd) Amrit Lal; UPNL MD Brigadier (Retd.) JNS Bisht; Deputy Director Wing Commander (Retd) Nidhi Badhani; Deputy Director Colonel (Retd) Yogendra Kumar, along with officials of the department and executing agencies.
